This picture summarizes one of the things that I love most about Japan: the love for detail. It was taken in a public restroom on the Yanaka cemetery in Tokyo and shows to me how serious Japanese people take their jobs in a service-oriented society. Even with a simple cleaning job, people strive for perfection and try to make people’s experience as pleasant as possible. In this case by putting flowers in a vase in a public restroom.
