Closed Convenience Store

This picture was taken near the Ōsaka-jo in Ōsaka, Japan. When walking through the gardens surrounding Ōsaka-jo, I saw this closed store of a Japanese convenience store chain. I was wondering why somebody would even think about opening a store in the middle of a public park without a regular customer base. On the other hand, it could also be a store that is only opened during Hanami (the Japanese cherry blossom feast) as the park surrounding Ōsaka-jo is one of the most famous spots in Ōsaka to celebrate Hanami.
