This picture was taken from a balcony of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada during my conference visit in October 2017. When looking down from the balcony, I saw a busy street scene with people hurrying to their next appointment. Despite the rush, the whole scenery has something peaceful to it as it is beautifully lit by the low-lying sun. This sunlight is casting long shadows and illuminating the autumn leaves on the trees.
